The Lopardo Inn of Court respects your privacy. This policy explains the information we collect through our website, how we use it, and how to contact us about it.
Information You Provide
Contact inquiries. If you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, any phone number you provide, and the contents of your message.
Membership applications. If you apply online, we collect the information you enter in the application, including your contact and firm information, State Bar number, education, practice and professional background, reasons for applying, membership category, professional references, date, and electronic signature. Depending on the application, you may also provide significant-case information or upload a résumé. Information about references may include their names and contact details.
We also offer a downloadable membership application. If you complete and send that application to us, we collect the information you include in it.
Please do not include confidential client information in an application, résumé, or description of significant cases.
Information Collected Through the Website
When you visit the website, our website services may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, and approximate location derived from your IP address. The site uses Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and use. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about visits. Who Receives Information
Online membership applications are emailed to members of the Inn’s membership committee, who review them. Application submissions may also be stored temporarily in the website’s WordPress form system. Website hosting, form, email, and analytics providers may process information as needed to provide their services.
We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the Inn or others. We do not sell information submitted through our contact or membership forms.
How Long We Keep Information
Online membership submissions may remain in the WordPress form system for several months. Copies emailed to membership committee members, as well as applications submitted by other means, are kept as reasonably needed for application review and membership administration. You may contact us to request deletion, subject to information we reasonably need to retain.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect information submitted through the website and limit access to membership applications. No website, email system, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed completely secure.
External Websites and Videos
Our website links to third-party sites and includes videos provided by YouTube. Those services may collect information when you visit them or interact with their content. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
Children’s Privacy
This website is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your Requests
You may contact us to ask what information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion. We will review and respond to requests in accordance with applicable law and any information we reasonably need to retain. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
