We are proud to announce that two of our esteemed master members, Randy Winet and the Hon. Robert P. Dahlquist (Ret.), were honored at the North County Bar Association’s Bench & Bar Dinner on Thursday night!
Randy Winet, senior partner at Winet, Patrick, Creighton & Hanes, received the new Legend Award. Over his distinguished career, Randy has tried more than 90 jury trials to verdict, focusing on significant personal injury, wrongful death, employment, insurance, public entity, school district disputes, and business litigation.
In his gracious and humorous acceptance, Randy quipped:
You usually get a Legend award when you’re dead or very, very old; I’m happy to be very, very old.
Judge Robert Dahlquist was presented with the Judge Moon Award, named in honor of Judge Moon, an accomplished jurist who served in nearly every Superior Court division during his decades-long tenure and later as a mediator resolving many high-profile matters. Judge Moon was devoted to encouraging open communication, civility, and professionalism among attorneys, judges, and parties.
Judge Dahlquist’s own career reflects these same values. For more than 20 years, he served as a jurist handling complex matters in the North County division, was the Supervising Judge for several years, and served on the Court’s executive committee. Now, he is a highly respected mediator with JAMS handling all types of complex matters.
